Lydia Carlton is a 19th century England "fairy doctor". She sticks out because of her copper hair that everyone calls "rusty". With her green eyes, she can see things other people can't. She's constantly freaking people out with her knowledge because of the disbelief of fairies, which is completely different than before.
She gets an invite to see her father, but when she sets off for her trip, she meets a guy named Edgar, who claims he's an earl, and the only way his name can be proven is to look for an infamous sword. However, he's not the only one, and after a series of events, Lydia finds herself tied with Edgar's team. As time passes by, suspicions, fear, feelings, connections and pursuers arise into the situation for the search of the legendary sword- can Lydia and Edgar find the sword before the others do? And what will become of Lydia and Edgar?
